Saturday marked the one year anniversary of the day that Russell proposed… all together now… “awwwwwwwwww”.
It’s hard to describe how it feels, finding your soulmate….. it’s more than just love or being in love or finding someone you connect with….. It’s like being able to see the future….. I can see myself old and frail and still wanting to make him laugh, him watching Keeping up with the Kardashians and me wishing he’d change the channel. I can see us becoming parents and grandparents and still loving each other every step of the way… accepting our differences and respecting those differences as we grow and change and become the people we are destined to be. Russell is my best friend, partner in crime, pillar of strength and my soulmate. He has been the only person in my life who puts me before anything else and the only person I can count on when I need him most.. or when I need him least. There is not one person in this entire world I would rather start a family with, grow old with or eat Chipotle with. I love him more and more with each passing day. I knew after our first date that he is the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with… 100 years later and I know I will feel the exact same way.
August can’t come soon enough :)
